G.O.O.D. Music — Cruel Summer

Kanye West commissioned us to create a narrative, 7-screen immersive cinematic experience, starring Kid Cudi, to premiere during the Cannes Film Festival. Rather than create a film inspired by an album, this film would inspire the creation of an album, Cruel Summer.

We developed a script based on Kanye’s vision, scouted locations around the world, filmed on-location in Qatar with an international cast and crew of more than 200 people, designed custom systems for camera, VTR, and editorial, and worked closely with OMA & 2x4 to create a custom pyramid theatre. We premiered the film during the Cannes Film Festival to amazing reviews within 6 weeks of calling wrap in Qatar.
